Another Bunhead Story!

In 1995 Tom's flat-mate, a school teacher called Dan O'Donnell (no not the singer), asked him to do some science shows at his school. The ever-friendly and helpful Dr. Lesley Yellowlees of Edinburgh University gave Tom loads of ideas, support and inspiration for a school chemistry magic show...thanks Lesley! Armed with exciting experiments he visited Dan's school and had a brilliant time with the kids and teachers...thanks Dan! After that he was hooked and returned there and to other schools to do more.
Cowpat In February 1996 he bumped into Adam Selinger, a talented and rather tall Australian science communicator who was working for the Edinburgh International Science Festival (EISF). He invited Tom to do some shows for them. Tom couldn't believe his luck.

He became Dr. Bunhead (it was either that or Professor Pie-Tin) and performed his first 'Dr. Bunhead's Magical Chemistry Cookbook' in April 1996 at the 8th Edinburgh International Science Festival. He's never looked back...thanks Adam!   A wee while later a bright young researcher called Sarah Harrall from BBC TV faxed him to say "please do some mad experiments on 'Fully Booked'" and they've been asking him back ever since. Thanks for the break Sarah.
